14-year old Phillip Parker of Gordonsville took his own life Friday and his parents say it’s a result of him being bullied.

Roger Dinwiddie is with the group “Students Taking a Right Stand” or STARS. On Openline Tuesday, he said there are no innocent bystanders: everyone has a role in solving the issue of school bullying.

Dinwiddie also he pointed out it’s a much different issue today than in years past.

“There’s a very different mindset about what bullying is and was when you and I were in school,a very different viewpoint. We live in post-Columbine culture. It changed the world forever. Schools will never be like they were before Columbine,” he said.
