Many things have changed in 2020, but providing hope, health, and connection to our young people isn’t one of them!
Join us as Cherish the Night goes virtual! Cherish the Hope, Health, & Connection of our Young People is a 6-week virtual fundraising campaign taking the place of our annual Cherish the Night Event in 2020.
The virtual campaign kicks off on Monday, October 19th and will conclude on Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, December 1st. Supporters will have the opportunity to get to know STARS through an extensive social media campaign with thoughtfully curated messaging highlighting program evaluations, client testimonials, reflections from STARS staff and board, celebrity spotlights, and sponsor recognition. The campaign will conclude with the special announcement of the recipient of the 2020 Troy Gentry Compassion Award.
Troy Gentry Compassion Award
Vince Gill generously helped us launch our traditional Cherish the Night event by offering his time and talents. We were lucky enough to have the late Troy Gentry headline our event in 2016. After we lost our friend, we knew we wanted to honor his life and generosity in some way. We created the Troy Gentry Compassion Award, which is presented annually to the individual or group who reflects the compassion, commitment, kindness, and love that Troy embodied and shared with all who knew him. The 2019 Troy Gentry Compassion award was lovingly presented to Scott Hamilton.
