What can we say about our friend Vince Gill? He will be gracing the stage at the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum on Tuesday, November 1….only his SECOND appearance since the release of his new album The Guitar Slinger.  TICKETS ARE STILL AVAILABLE! Please contact us today! Find out live and in person who will be his surprise mystery guests!

Our news releases have heralded him as “country music consummate caring artist” and he is that and much more.  In the past, Vince has brought Alison Krauss, Rodney Crowell, Dan Tyminski and Richard Marx with him to perform.  Last year, we were honored when his talented daughter Jenny Gill joined him on stage. It was so incredible to see father and daughter join together in a poignant moment to help support the programs of STARS.

In a pre-concert interview with Fox 17’s Stacy McCloud about the STARS concert, Vince said, “it takes a village and it is a great sense of community. It is really easy to say stick and stones but words hurt. When people say disparaging and hurtful things it never stops hurting…(my wife) Amy (Grant) says, hurt people hurt people and blessed people, bless people.”

We are indeed blessed that Vince returns to the stage with a surprise line-up of friends to help STARS. Joining in support our non-profit agency, are event patron chairs Angie and Troy Gentry, of Montgomery-Gentry, and the powerhouse duo of event co-chairs Christy Smith and Karla Calderon.

Again, there will be an impressive array of items from the artists’ autographed
guitars and hand-crafted Hinkle ladder back chairs to Titans and Predators
sports packages.

Founded in 1984, STARS specialists operate in elementary to high schools serving more than 50 schools and community sites within an eight-county area. STARS specialists help students tackle tough social issues like cyber bullying, substance abuse, violence and peer pressure. In addition, their highly successful Kids On The Block puppetry program helps educate kindergarten through sixth grade students about health and social concerns that affect their lives while promoting an understanding and acceptance of all children and adults regardless of their differences. STARS Nashville is a nationally recognized resource for training and professional consultation.

STARS CEO Rodger Dinwiddie noted, “tough economic times hits our youth even harder as many are ill-equipped to deal with this additional stress. Partnering with Vince on an event of this caliber stands to positively impact so many lives.”
