TREATMENT

STARS provides behavioral and mental health treatment services in two major program areas, our Enhanced Student Assistance Program (ESAP) and the Youth Overcoming Drug Addiction (YODA) program. YODA is the only intensive outpatient treatment program for adolescents and young adults with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.

Youth served by STARS have better self-awareness and self-confidence and better understand the importance of personal safety and accountability moving forward.

The Lifeline Peer Project is established to reduce stigma related to the disease of addiction and increase access to substance abuse recovery like Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

The STARS Enhanced School Assistance Program (ESAP) provides in-school mental health treatment and addresses issues like depression, anxiety and family conflicts through individual therapy, school-based plans, and group and family interventions.

Youth Overcoming Drug Abuse (YODA) is an intensive outpatient program by STARS, catering to adolescents ages 13 to 18 facing substance use and co-occurring disorders. Services are free for Tennessee residents ages 13 to 18 who are uninsured or lack coverage for treatment, reflecting a commitment to supporting recovery for all youth.
