Undoubtedly, the Chair-ish The Kids Art Auction benefit for Kids On The Block is one of the most exciting events of the year. Heading back to the uber cool Loveless Barn on Highway 100 in Nashville on March 25, this year’s event is shaping up to be our most amazing Chair-ish The Kids benefit ever!

Limited to 300 guests, an evening of delicious food, drink and inspirational chair-themed art from local and nationally acclaimed artists awaits. Check out our Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/stars(studentstakingarightstand)nashville where we’ve just started an auction preview. The wonderful Andee Rudloff, Frist Center for the Visual Arts Community Relations Manager, curator and artist, has secured an impressive line-up of Invitational Artists including Greg Decker, Michelle and Aaron Grayum, Paul Harmon, Harry Underwood and Erin Brady Worsham.

In addition to the work of these talented artists being available for purchase, the silent auction has a cornucopia of quintessential Nashville experience packages including a Hatch Show Print Tour and Night At The Ryman with Amos Lee, Jewelry From Judith Bright Jewelry, Art Experience with Cindy Wunsch and additional artwork made available by some of the area’s most respected and popular artists.

The results of this evening have a lasting impact on our kids and the community at large. Look no further than the Coping With Crisis program for second grade students living on the post at Fort Campbell, KY supported by this event and the generosity of the Nashville Predators’ Foundation.  The Kids On The Block organization uses puppetry and other teaching tools to promote understanding and acceptance of all children and adults regardless of their differences educating the community on psychosocial issues plaguing our society such as learning differences, child abuse and violence prevention, substance abuse, social and safety issues, disability awareness, medical differences and educational differences.

Chair-ish The Kids wouldn’t be possible without a committed team of volunteers of whom we are so thankful including outstanding event chairs Tory Fitzgibbon and Annie Schaefer and honorary chair Daphne Butler, event night emcees voice of the Predators’ Terry Crisp and Pete Weber as well as our amazing patrons Christy Smith, Lee Schaefer, Dallas Wilt and Will Fitzgibbon. We have an adorable new event logo courtesy of the talented Aaron and Michelle Grayum, The Gray Umbrella. Do you have your tickets yet?  Give us a shout at 615-279-0058.
