Erika McMurtrey attended Butler University where she received her Undergraduate degree in Sociology (2011) and continued her educational journey at WKU where she received her Master’s Degree in Social Work (2013). She began her career at The Ranch, providing residential therapeutic services to adults with a focus on co-occurring disorders, addiction, and trauma. In early 2016, Erika joined the STARS team in the SAP role. She received her LCSW in 2017 and transitioned into the STARS ESAP role in 2019. In 2022, Erika began her new role as a Clinical Supervisor for STARS.

When Erika is not working, she enjoys spending time with her partner (Russ), two children (Owen and Easton), and two loveable pups (Dash and Maddy). She also enjoys the Co-ed Rec Kickball League she has been a part of for the past 2 years, spending time with friends, painting, singing, and attending her boys’ busy sports schedule.
