Communications Coordinator

Rachel Goodman is a Nashville native who joined STARS in 2021. As Communications Coordinator, Rachel gets to do what she loves most: write, communicate, and tell stories that matter—all in the name of helping young people discover the tools they need to thrive.

Rachel holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Northern Arizona University and a BA in English from DePaul University. She is a published poet and teaching artist who is passionate about the intersection of storytelling, mental health, youth empowerment, and community impact.

On the weekends, Rachel can be found crocheting on the couch, on a walk with her fiancé and their adorable (albeit anxious) senior dog, and/or dreaming up her next community poetry workshop.
