Clinical Supervisor

Rahab was born and raised in Tanzania, briefly went to school in Kenya before moving to the US in the year 2000. She has resided in middle TN since 2005 as a student at Tennessee State University, where she completed her BS in Psychology. She later obtained her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University. She has worked in different mental health settings; acute care/ inpatient, residential, in-home, and community based. By far, school-based world is her favorite. Rahab is licensed in TN as an LPC-MHSP and an approved clinical supervisor. She currently works as the ESAP Therapist at Independence High school and supports her peers as a program manager in Williamson County Schools.

In her down time, she enjoys walking/running, being outside, reading, traveling, eating delicious food, and watching some good television. She enjoys these hobbies the most when she can do so with her family and friends; especially her husband and three children. She views her current role as a privilege; to be able to partner with students, their families, schools, and professional peers – helping young people feel safe enough to take steps toward living a life that they want for themselves and achieving their goals.

STARS is deeply committed to creating a culture and work space that centers on the power of relationships, that values diversity of perspective and experience, and that honors the dignity, worth, and contributions of all.
